Did you know that nature has conversations with us when we stop to listen?.
It's amazing how these two loveable critters became a part of my life and language.
"Buddy" the egret first came on the scene about 3 years ago on my walks out to a beautiful bluff overlooking the ocean. I learned some real lessons of patience and love watching this beautiful, graceful bird. I decided to call him "Buddy". I later made some greeting cards from my experiences with "Buddy". He was always so majestic. He'd take off at sunset as if to say "goodbye", it was nice being with you today".
Kibbles N Nibbles
While Buddy was on vacation, I found this spot that had bushes nearby and discvered a family of white tailed bunnies. I decided to get some feed from the feedstore and see if they would eat it. Sure enough, after awhile I found them waiting for me and I put their food in a spot that I called "the kitchen". It was always gone the next day. I'd take my chair and sit out on the bluff and watch the beautiful ocean and once in awhile a bunny would come (at a distance) and lay down and nap. It felt so good to be trusted. I named the bunnies "Kibbles n Nibbles".
I work for a phone company as an information operator. When children start playing on the phone I start singing "Kibbles n Nibbles", "Kibbles n Nibbles"....they always laugh and enjoy hearing about the bunnies. Some of the children are too small to talk, but they always listen and understand nature's conversation.
This little hummingbird comes to visit also and other birds such as the warblers have beautiful songs they sing and they like to announce to nature that the bunny lady has brought some food to eat.
